Mike Jackson

He is the founder member and for 25 years been the Chairman of a Reg Charity (the PSC/EDSF). ALL IN HIS OWN TIME. £1.5 million has been raised to provide sporting facilities and opportunities for children with special needs. For 20 years Mike has organised Sports Experience Days when disabled children can take part in 30 different sporting events. Over 25,000 children have taken part. One person supported is Noel Thatcher MBE won paralympian gold medals in Atlanta and Sydney. Noel wrote recently: I can say without exaggeration that without the club's support many of the medals I have been fortunate to win would have been hanging around someone else's neck. I would like to think that you can look at my two gold medals from Atlanta as a reward for all the magnificent work you do for the young and disabled in the community. It continues to be a privilege to be associated with your work.
