Mike Healey

Mike Healey started EBCC Kid's Saturday bike club in 1998. He is dedicated to club and is there every Saturday morning come rain or shine , to coach and support children irrespective of ability or background. His passion is for children to learn to ride and then go on to improve their skills and enjoy the lifelong health benefits and friendships cycling can bring. His dedication to KSBC has benefited many thousand children across West Yorkshire. Mike's influence doesn't stop at the children. Over the years many parents have found a love of cycling for themselves and a number of parents have become volunteer coaches at KSBC too . Mike does all this for other people he takes no financial reward from KSBC and expects none . As a club we feel we would like to see Mike rewarded publicly and feel it would be a fitting honour to ask him to carry the Olympic Torch . Thanks from all at KSBC
