Mike Godwin

My husband coaches a team of kids called Sarisbury Sparks, its local football, so community based. These kids come from all walks of life, and every single one of them loves their football. Mike got involved 6 years ago and now is one of the main fundraisers of the club, as its difficult to keep a kids team running without new equipment and kit. Mike comes home from work at 7pm every night, has dinner and then starts to organise the games, briefing parents and handling general admin for the team.

He trains the kids on the weekend, on a saturday and then they play their games on a Sunday.

Many of these kids would be up to no good without the team to keep them out of mischief. I am very proud of the work he does in the community. Please select him to carry the torch. He will have all the kids there to watch him and I know it would be a great honour.
