Mike Freary

My father has been involved in athletics in the local community for over 50 years! As an athlete he was British Record Holder at 10000m in 1969 and his devotion to the sport and to helping other is unique. He has coached many local athletes to become World Class, including me when I became World Half Marathon Champion. Outside of athletics he now spends his day as a volunteer teaching assistant helping young children with learning difficulties.
