Mike Adshead

I don't want to look back on my life when I'm grey and old and think of happy memories but on the things that I've achieved. I want to do things because other people don't and to leave my mark on this world even if it's only a small one. I hope on joining the British army next year as an officer but my real passion in life is exploration and adventure. My plan is to one day be the first person to circumnavigate the world going pole to pole, solo and using man power alone. I come from a council estate in Manchester where people lack ambition and I was the only one to leave and go to uni. I want to inspire people to do some thing with there life, show them that there is a whole world out there and to prove that if I can then so can they.
