Merrilee Phillips

When her daughter Mia was diagnosed at birth with the life threatening disease Cystic Fibrosis Merrilee and her husband Chris pledged that they would raise £25,000 for the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust by Mia's 5th birthday. Merrilee is a working Mum who cheerfully carries the challenging stresses of the daily care of a chronically ill child and also has two lively sons who need their share of her time, but she went into training and now regularly takes part in sponsored mararthons and half marathons. Through a series of girlie nights out, mystery tours and imaginative fund raising expeditions through the countryside she has put the fun into funraising and has inspired a host of friends to join her Mia Cystic Fibrosis Appeal. Eight years into her campaign , with Chris at her side, she has norw brought in over £30,000 for the vital research being carried out by the CF Trust which brings hope to the thousands of patients and their families. She is a much valued member of the Pembrokeshire Branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
