Mel Moore

I've known Mel for 3 month and he's done so much in his life. He's run 21 London Marathons over the last 21 consecutive years, his latest challenge the Grand Paradiso in Italy, climbing 4,000m. When does he stop! Other challenges on the list are "Race the Train", there's always a ½ marathon waiting for him. He's been a Policeman for many years with a very strong sense of what's right. He manages a team, with a great way of pulling skills together as one to achieve the greater good. He's a caring, sharing, fun kinda bloke, with a fantastic sense of humour, always wanting everyone to try something new. (at least once!) I think that Mel would be an ideal person to carry the Olympic torch as there is no stopping him, he works hard for his country, he plays hard and he would be so proud to do this for the UK
