Mcayla Johnston

McAyla was knocked down by a car a year ago and hospitalised with serve head injuries which kept her in a coma for over a month. Her accident gave her the motivation to launch a website McAyla.com to campaign for safer roads in Worcester. Since she launched her campaign a number of road safety initiatives have been introduced. McAyla currently volunteers for the Red Cross and a local mental health charity. She also competes at the disabled National Junior Athletics Championships in Blackpool every year and recently won Gold in Javelin and silver in Discus.
