Matt has been part of Learning Support Department at HIgh school since age 11. Last week he left school at age 18 with a fine string of qualifications, and a place a college to further study his passion for sport.. He has worked with a fantastic team at Boys Brigade to achieve his D of E Bronze, is currently finalising Silver, and has earned his Queens Badge. Matt has worked on sports events with younger children from primary schools, hosted a Boccia competition for Learning Support departments within Cumbria - after qualifying as an official, contributed to school`s charity events, volunteered at Youth Club for 2 years and just today volunteered to help marshall the local Race for Life event. Despite living with epilepsy and autism, Matt has overcome huge hurdles to show that you can do what you want, if you just never give up, an inspiration to those who need support to experience mainstream school. `It`s OK, I`ll just have another go` saw Matt though the challenges he has faced. A quiet, gentle guy, who just gets on with life, and so deserves to give a bit more at an event which inspires him.
