Matthew Pinsent

Sir Matthew Pinsent is one of Great Britain's greatest ever Olympians winning four consecutive Gold Medals before retiring from the competitive world of rowing. He has since turned his relentless dedication and enthusiasm to supporting the wider British Olympic and Paralympic movement. Among his many roles, Matthew is Chairman of the Team 2012 Fundraising Appeal. A role which has undoubtedly required many more hours of commitment and hard work than he ever could have imagined! From hand writing millons of thank you letters, to securing major donations and hosting special events, Matthew has been supportive and hands on from the start, taking time and care to ensure each and every single person involved in Team 2012 realises the impact of their support.
