Matthew Mills

Hannah passed away on 26th May 2011. Matthew has been nominated to represent Hannah. Throughout Hannah's life she was meant for great things. As she grew older, she became a bit isolated. Hannah would only tell her closest friend about her Cystic Fibrosis. She was also hearing impaired but did let this define her. She joined Deaf Stars Youth Club and found her true calling. This was Hannah's opportunity to change the world. She helped set up the Deffo Forum, became a Project Leader for the British Deaf Association Wales and was also a Board member for the NIAB Advocacy Board run by the Welsh Assembly - and became a voice for young people in both the Deaf and Hearing World. Over the past 12 months she had to keep a back seat on her commitments due to her illness, but remained involved as much as possible. Hannah has touched so many lives, she never gave up.
