Matthew Mcpolin

Matthew was awarded the Year Heads Outstanding Achievement Award in December, after which he personally thanked Mrs Ireland and his Tutor. Matthew has overcome personal difficulties, social challenges and has made a huge personal contribution to the life of the school and is pushing beyond his potential to achieve excellence. Matthew is one of three pupils from this primary school therefore he has made new friendships and relationships which he has done with great maturity. Matthew has now taken on a mentoring role with other pupils within year 7 who have struggled with this transition; this support upholds the schools ethos of community, faith, and friendship. Matthew has shown outstanding academic progress for behaviour, class work and homework which was in the top 2% for Year 7. This is inspirational as the school supports Matthew with his speech and language skills throughout the week and the reports shows he has made excellent progress.
