Matt's a big believer in charity. He always says people should give what they can - whether that's time or money - relative to their situation. So when he took up running this year, it was a natural step for him to combine the two. In October, he ran his first half-marathon for Paralympics GB. Unfortunately, his leg gave way after mile five. But Matt being Matt, he ran through the pain for the next eight miles because he didn't want to let his sponsors down (he couldn't straighten his leg for several days). Now he's signed up to run the London Marathon for Cancer Research UK. This is a guy who before this year had never ran further than the corner shop. I know he has the heart to be a torchbearer, I just hope he has the legs as well! His motto really is 'keep on running'.
