Matthew Drury

I am very proud to nominate my son Matthew. Three years ago he asked if he could help out at Droitwich Spa Boys & Girls Football Club. Matthew was 13 at the time so I encouraged his enthusiasm but thought it may not last! Matthew is still there now! Matthew helps coach the U6's every Saturday morning, as well as setting up and clearing away at the end. He is an excellent role model to the children and loves passing on his enthusiasm for the game. Matthew respects young and old alike and encourages fair play at all times. Matthew is a quiet, unassuming lad who expects nothing in return for the time he gives. He has shown real dedication and commitment for the past three seasons, making a real difference in our local community. Matthew is an inspiration to me and the young footballers at Droitwich Spa FC. To give Matthew the opportunity to be a Torchbearer would be an amazing way to show how much we really do appreciate him and all he does. Thank you.
