Matthew Donnelly

Matthew is a delightful, personable and highly motivated young man who has embraced with enthusiasm and commitment all the opportunities he has encountered at Bury Grammar School Boys. He is an excellent role model, both in the classroom and in his extra-curricular, and particularly sporting, activities (including Cricket, Rugby, Science and Technology clubs) and has become a true leader within the year group and a solid friend to many of his peers. Matthew is always ready to offer help and support to his peers and staff alike. His teachers praise his conscientious and industrious approach to learning across the whole curriculum. Matthew was thrilled to be offered this fantastic opportunity to carry the Olympic Torch and will be a fine ambassador for the Olympic values of friendship, excellence and respect.
