Matthew Davies

Matthew is an amazing person who inspires people with the passion he shows in his everyday life and in training for his first marathon!My two passions are science and keeping fit after completing my PhD in physical chemistry in 2010 I set about training for my next major goal; completing a marathon. Later this year I will run the Snowdonia marathon one of the hardest in Europe my first marathon. I dream of setting up and completing long distance runs to raise money for charitable causes. I continually try to promote the importance science both amongst my peers and to our youth and school children. I am currently researching photovoltaic renewable energies and I am proud to work on a project that could have such a profound effect on mankind it is one of my goals to help make Bangor University and Wales as one of the world-leaders in such an essential area of science.
