Matthew Cox

Matthew is the centre manager of the most northernly centre in the UK. Over his 10 years as manager he has made a huge impact on the whole community. He has helped start up and currently coaches the local swimming club in his spare time. On his weekends off he drives the club to competitions on the mainland which is 2 ferry journeys and a 2hr drive each way! He also teaches lifeguarding to the community, an invaluable assest when living on an island.You will always see Matthew voluenteering to aid the local sports clubs and he sets up and organises many tournamnets fun competitons and actvities for the local children to ensure that they have the same chances and opportunities as the children who live in cities and towns. In his spare time Matthew is a retained firemen and has been on many call outs on the island, saving the lives of those in our community whilst putting his at risk.
