Matt Cornish

Matt has taken a keen interest in grass roots football in Plymouth. He manages our link with grass roots football for all Dave Wynne's Plymouth restaurants. He has been an integral part of the club twinning programme which sees all 5 Plymouth restaurants twinned with a local youth football team. Matt arranged a McDonalds community football festival in Sept last year which included a tournament and was attended by over 2000 members of the local community along with sports personalities, local MP, and local radio station. Matt has played a role in the provision and presentation of training equipment to each of the twinned clubs. Matt is currently involved with Devon Football Association and their 'Get into Football' campaign. The objective of this is 'Football for all' and it aims to get kids who may not normally have access to team sports and would perhaps be hanging around on the street. He is trying to help make football more accessible to the less priviledged. Matt has co-ordinated links with the local PCSO's and their youth work also aimed at giving kids an opportunity to get involved in team sports instead of crime.
