I have being severely disabled for over 25 years with Rheumatoid Arthritis (64) which for the past 24 years has made me totally human and wheelchair dependent. In 2010 I drove my power chair from Lands End 2 John o'Groats a distance of 997 miles in 24 days 9 hours getting in to the GWR book raising £1000 for the RBL. I have raised other monies for charity by been pushed in my manual wheelchair 14 Great North Runs. For the past 10 years I put aside 2 weeks in November to sell poppies. I have applied to be a Games Maker. I am the sort of person that has a glass half full not half empty. If chosen I would be proud to carry the Olympic torch in my power chair. Type Mary Laver into Google to find out more about me. Thank you for reading my application. (148 wds)
