My wife is wheelchair bound because she suffers from M.S. Despite this she is well known in our sheltered housing complex as being a very bright and cheery person who is an inspiration to the other residents and is much valued as a friend and confidant.Despite her own problems she is always there for others and plays a full part in the complex activities. Despite the fact she cannot walk at all she loves to be involved in as many activities as possible. I have used the environment category loosely but she does make a difference to the environment we live in. Being involved in the Olympic Torch relay would give her so much pleasure and help to make her feel normal again for a short time. She would also take pride in representing disabled people and our sheltered housing complex.I would be proud to push my wife in her wheelchair if she was successful in gaining a place in this event.
