Mark James

A little over two years ago Mark - a former amateur boxer, became involved with his local community sports and activity centre guiding young people in his community - through specially devised fitness plans towards healthy, more active living. As numbers increased and more people became interested in boxing, Mark formed Someton Amateur Boxing club (SABC) which is now a fully affiliated member of the welsh amateur boxing association - and he now has a number of licensed boxers and has travelled up and down the country in order for them to compete in various club events - more recently the Novice Championships that were held in swansea aswell as continuing to provide a place for people to train just for fitness. Through his dedication and committment the impact that Mark has had on his community can not be over estimated. He ha helped to inspire so many young people and provided them with a focus un life that simply did not exist before his intevention. every community needs a Mark James.
