Mark's nomination story

Mark Jago runs 2 Boys Brigade groups and supports his church each month in helping the homeless.

Boys Brigade helps develop future leaders in the community, enables networking amongst the local community. Mark leads meetings each week offering activities and team work. He's also involved in local competitions with other BB Sections and some National competitions at weekends.

In addition to this once a month through his local church, Mark is involved in inviting the homeless along for a hot meal and they offer a warm place to meet all year round. Mark drives a mini bus collecting and dropping of people who are attending the event. This is life changing for those who attend as it gives them a sense of belonging, also provides a safe refuge where through donations of personal hygiene items, such as body wash, deodorant, tooth-paste etc, the homeless people are supported to remain healthy.

Mark Makes a Difference by inspiring young people and giving them opportunities to develop skills and friendships and by supporting homeless people with comfort and food.
