Mark was our local police officer for many years before becoming a Collision Investigator. He has always gone out of his way to help others, winning a 'Beyond the call of duty award in 2003, from local paper The Argus. He's run 27 marathons, many for charities including Cancer Research and the Moorfields Eye Hospital, and even at the age of 47 he plans to complete the London Marathon again next year. In March this year, he competed in a competition called I'm a scientist get me out of here (his profile: http://forensicm11.imascientist.org.uk/profile/markhill), and was voted the winner by primary and secondary students around the UK. Having seen his two daughters through the local primary school, and having been part of the school PTA and board of governors, Mark donated the £500 prize to their science dept. for new equipment. He is an inspiration; a true credit to the community.
