Mark's nomination story

Mark is one of the most selfless characters I have ever known. He is a PE teacher at High Storrs School, where I work. He works 100's of hours extra each year with the children encouraging them to take part in sport. He organizes sports day every year, which runs flawlessly due to all the effort he puts into it. He never puts himself in the limelight and gives all the glory to the kids and the team of teachers he works with. He has inspired and encouraged many an athlete of which some have been quite successful - footballers, another who is World no. 1 squash player, several county athletes. Mark has worked tirelessly, in fact he exhausts me just watching him, for our students. Our school has been involved with BSF for the past 3 years and PE has suffered the most. The old gyms and sports hall were demolished or transformed into something else and this has left PE without a home; the sports field shrank as mobile classrooms took over; old tired equipment was useless - yet throughout this Mark still smiles, still adapts in order to try to give his best to the children. I think he deserves a Gold Medal. He is kind, considerate and one of the loveliest people I work with. Therefore, he is worthy of nomination. Thanks
