Margaret has been a foster parent for the past 15 years, she has taken on very sever cases often looking after teenage mums.
Margaret also volunteers as a school governor and as a youth leader but it is her continual work with young people facing really difficult times that makes Margaret a hero. Three years ago her husband died suddonly, fostering is without a doubt a difficult job to do as a single parent especially whilst copying with grief of yourself and your own children. Margaret has two children herself and 4 step children. Margaret is in contact with many of the young people she has worked with and Christmas is always a huge table of people from different backgrounds.
I believe that fostering in your home is an amazing job, one thing is to work with people facing difficulties but to do that in your own home means you are never away from it. I believe this takes a lot of courage and Margaret is full of this.
On behalf of all such people caring in the home I think Margaret would be a great embassador, she does not shout about her work but without her doing this many young people would have not been able to experience her expertese and skill and compassion.
