Maggie Hayes

Maggie is one of the most active members of the University of Liverpool Guild of Students. She has a strong passion for volunteering and for other students, continually campaigning for change wherever she finds inequality. Maggie's love of volunteering started with the Global Xchange project with placements first in Wales and then in India. She is an ardent believer in promoting worthy causes and remains an active supporter of Oxfam. She is equally committed to helping others in the local community and joined the Liverpool Guild of Students' 'Community Rep Scheme', forging links between local residents and University students. Her positive impact on the 'student experience' was recognised at the 2011 Guild of Student presentation evening where she received the 'Eagle Award' for her commitment.
