Maggie Glastonbury

Maggie raises funds in creative and imaginative ways including running events like the Great North Run to help various organisations. These include UK cancer charities, and, further afield, charities supporting seriously disadvantaged and/or disabled Peruvian Children. She also takes time out of her busy schedule to personally visit Peru regularly to help practically and emotionally in the ongoing development of the children. We are aware of over £10,000 raised recently. The impact on the community is two fold, firstly, using strong powers of persuasion and tenacity she has involved her friends and family in raising funds. Secondly, the money, is helping people in the UK whose lives are affected by cancer. In Peru, it helps to provide support, education and care for the children and young people, which in turn has brought about significant positive shifts of attitude towards disability and poverty within the local community.
