Ann has always been a community volunteer. She is a founder member of and leading fundraiser for ( the voluntary group) Gnosall Community 1st Responders. After 9 months of training with West Midlands Ambulance service she spends 15hours a week on duty, responding ahead of the ambulance service. This is in addition to her demanding, full time job. Living in Gnosall gives her invaluable knowledge of local people & families this enables her to conduct her voluntary role. For 33 years Ann has been inspiring children to love learning through her teaching at St Lawrence Primary School. She has inspired countless children to become physically active. Her focus at work is to encourage children who have special needs to achieve their personal best & gain self esteem, preparing them for high school & life beyond, often through sport. She gives her own time regularly to attend residential camps. In the 1980's she instigated fund raising to build a school swimming pool. She voluntarily runs swimming and life- saving classes. Additionally she has been / is: ?a member of St Johns, being on duty at local events ?Treasurer of the pre-school play group ?A PTA member, fundraising, organising events, decorating floats for the village carnival etc ?A member of the Royal life-saving society - training adults at the town pool Working tireless in the local community Ann really does make a difference.
