Marcia Vowles

Marcia has a naturally bubbly but not obviously infectious can do attitude that makes her a unique marathon making machine out of ordinary people. She is consistently chatty with all abilities of runners from 13 to 8:30 miles per minutes pace. For me and Nicky personally, doing our first 15, 18 and up to 22 miles last year, leaving me speechless while they bounced around celebrating. They did Nicky's first marathon together last year while I did on my own (for Kidney Donors everywhere).

Another time from watching a 10k on a Friday evening she accept and completed with Ruth a 22 miles very hilly run called the Sea View 17 while I only managed 14 on the day.

This year she was again the corner stone of another team of 6 crossing the line together at the London Marathon 2011 and then went onto Edinburgh Marathon with Southville Running Club.

Marcia is an icon in the friendliest Running Club in Bristol.
