Marcel Tully

22 years ago I´ve been member of the German national rowing team and won the silver medal at the U23 Championship in Amsterdam in 1989 in the leightweight coxless four. Lightweight rowing became an Olympic discipline in 1992 after I had finished my active rowing career. As a sportsman it is a great honor to be a Torchbearer in the Torch Relay and it will be an unforgettable moment in my life. Sport has always been part of my life and has been a motivating force. Sport has learned me that hard training, commitment and passion are the precondition of success.
