Marc is now seventeen years old but first began running at the age of ten, joining a local running club, since then he has gone from strength to strength, competing in cross country, road running, athletics and fell racing events not only in this country but also in Europe. His competitiveness has driven him to produce some fantastic results, enabling him to compete at County,National and International levels, representing England at U16,U17 and U18 at Mountain Running. His talent is obvious, but to be able to achieve so much comes with much hard work and dedication, training five times a week, running endless miles in preparation for the next competition. Marc always works to his potential, pushing himself to improve, striving for excellence in all that he does. I am nominating Marc in recognition for all the commitment and passion he has shown since the age of ten, he is a true ambassador for sport, an inspiration to his peers and should be recognised and rewarded by having the honour of running with the olympic torch.
