Marc Grayston

Marc Grayston runs our local karate club in Basildon, Essex. In 2009, the previous teacher had started to get other commitments, which meant that he wasnt able to attend the classes on a regular basis. The class ended up with only three permanent students and was close to being shut down. Marc then volunteered to take over the class in the summer holiday of 2009. From then on, the class has only seen success. Marc's natural enthusiasm and brilliant bond with kids has seen the numbers rise from 3 to a regular 20. The success of the class has seen regular newspaper comments on the classes, and in March this year, the class was visited by Stephen Metcalfe MP who afterwards sent a letter commending Marc for his work with the children in the class.
