Mandy Boswell

Mandy experienced significant loss as a result of cancer when her father tragically died from the disease in 2004. Marie Curie Cancer Care (MCCC) looked after Mandy's dad during his illness and Mandy wanted to give something back as well as help others. As a result, she has been tirelessly supporting the MCCC initiative since 2005 by raising funds and giving support to others engaged in raising funds. Mandy has given up many nights and weekends to help at fetes, raffles, quiz nights and street collections. In March 2011, Mandy collected just over £1,600 from the Daffodil Appeal, and she has raised so far £3,100 for a sponsored trek to the Grand Canyon in October 2011. Mandy has built up a great relationship with the charity, and she is relied on as an official collector and helper at events.
