Malcolm Plaster

An ambassador for the sport of skiing, and a recognised expert across the UK, Malcolm Plaster has dedicated the last 30 years to coaching, teaching and actively promoting skiing in schools and the concept of sports for all. At nearly 70, he remains committed to the thousands of children and adults he has coached, and come rain or shine, is a constant presence and mentor for the Avon Ski Club at the bi-weekly race training sessions and at the monthly summer race league competitions. He has also been instrumental in the early development and training of Charlotte Davies, the number one skier on dry ski slopes who also currently skis for Wales. This nomination is not made by one person but all club members, parents and children, and is a mark of respect to the man who has asked for nothing in return for his time and effort.
