Mal Glass

Mal is an accountant in the North East Strategic Health Authority. He is leading on our Olympic Pedometer Challenge and is also running an evening Ju Jitsu class for staff at the office after hours. Mal developed a team challenge for staff and an individual challenge, equivalent to walks across the UK including Hadrians Wall, Coast to Coast and Landsend to John O'Groats. Progress is plotted on a large map of the UK in the office canteen. Over sixty staff are now engaged in the pedometer challenge with demand for pedometers now outstripping supply. Mal is a 2nd Dan black belt in the martial art of Ju Jitsu and uses the conference suite at the SHA to instruct staff in the art of self defence on a Thursday evening. The time and effort he has put in has made a big contribution to our organisation's NHS 2012 challenge.
