Luke Mcgill

Luke has been sailing from an early age taking part in his first National Championship in 1999. He has gone on to win the National Honda YouthRib Challenge on two occasions. Luke is now chairman of SYC Youth committee and is an integral part of the clubs sail training along with powerboat training giving up lots of his time to inspire people to do well in the sport he loves. Luke is also involved with the regional RNLI. Luke has also worked hard to promote his local sailing club following his national successes. Luke continues to be an active sailor both in dinghies and keelboats and continues to encourage people of all ages to get out on the water more frequently and to take up the sport he enjoys so much.
