Luke's nomination story

Luke joined ATC 241 Squadron when he was 13years old. He worked hard through out his training to become a Corporal. Where as new recruits were entering the squadron passing on his knowledge. As the years went on Luke constantly strives and motivates others, he feels the desire to become a better person and pass this on to others. He is passionate, disciplined, never gives up and raises the bar reaching goal himself and in turn stretches himself to help other around him reach their goals and more. Looks at the good of life and passes his thoughts and acheivements to others. He has often used his own time to take boys and girls Flying, and given up his turn so the younger cadets all get a turn. In 2009 he walked 100km in Nijmegen with blister on his feet, but completed the 4 day treck. He has inspires the youth of today in cadets by standing out in all weathers colecting money for Remembrance Day He was awarded the highest collector award.Luke played Rugby for London wing and was awarded the Tom Curry Award for sports,Tom Curry sadly died in Afganstan. This at the time hit Luke hard, but with great determination was able to pick himself up and carry on,always thinking off the young cadets. Now a Warrent officer within the ATC 241 squadron and has inspirated a lot of our youth of today to join 241 rather than hang around on street corners.Luke has the pasion of communication the purpose of listening and the drive to help others . I look at him and know that life is worth living'walked 160km, not 100km' 'i played rugby for the Air Training Corps, not wing' tom curry sadly died in Afghanistan, not afganstan' 'Now a Cadet Warrent Officer within the ATC 241 squadron,Not Warrent Officer'
