Logan's nomination story

Logan represents success. He has achieved much personally, both with respect to his Special Educational Needs and his sporting development. His noticeable, positive personal development also represents success for our school. His laudable improvements vindicate the ethos prevalent here and the hard work and dedication of the staff. For his family too, success reflects on their input and care. He is therefore a boy who has, despite troubles and problems, tried very hard to stay on a positive path. In school he fills his learning time with as much as he can. At home he helps with his family in a very caring way. In sport he displays a fine will to improve and a growing understanding team work and the team ethic. He has always been willing to take part in a range of sports including athletics where his naturally athletic build combines well with a will to win. As an Olympic Torch Bearer, Logan would be most suitable as a representative for children who, like himself, have additional barriers to overcome in their life and the Torch itself, when grasped by him, would undoubtedly be confident that it was moving in the right direction - just like Logan.
