I am nominating Lloyd as he has several medical problems and since he was 3 months old , he has had many operations over the years and his latest diagnosis at 11 was aspergers He has been a keen sportsman over the last 10 years getting involved in all sports , but doesnt fit in a particular profile . He has attended the British National Junior games @ Stoke Manderville for many years with the pan disability club run by our disability officer here in Neath Port Talbot, he also represented Mencap in Geneva last year in the european cup ,Iknow he would love to be involved in this and would be so priviledged to do so. Since becoming 18 he has know started to do some coaching courses to help him to train the younger children to gain the experiences he has through sport, he has recently also become a football leader through the FAW to enable him to coach the football team he plays for NPT dragons which is again set up voluntary to enable the youngsters to play at a level they can achieve to. Through sport my son learnt how to lose ,and also become a very nice young man. This year he was nominated for achiever of the year with the local awards held by Bay radio Swansea which he won I was such a proud mum as he deserves all he gets through his life. The response he gave when he won the award was 'if it wasnt for sport (and Vicky who is the disability sports officer)I wouldnt have a life '.......hows do you respond to a statement like that. ....Thank you for reading this story......
