Lindsay works as a wells services supervisor with BP North Sea. In both his professional and personal life, he represents the Olympic values of excellence, respect and friendship. On three separate occasions, Lindsay has swum across the River Tay to raise money for charity. He decided to undertake the first swim to raise money for a local children's home which had provided support to his nephew. The support he received from this swim encouraged him to continue to raise money for charity through these swims. Cumulatively, Lindsay has now raised over £7000 for charities through these sponsored swims. On a monthly basis, Lindsay also contributes to charity by donating a sizeable portion of his monthly wage to several charities, including Cancer Research, the British Heart Foundation and the Red Cross. His ongoing commitment and support for these charities makes Lindsay a worthy Olympic Torchbearer for BP.
