Lewis's nomination story

Lewis is a pupil who lives with his grandmother due to complex family issues. He has suffered significant medical problems which recently required an operation. Despite this he arrives early each morning eager to learn, he works hard in class, making good progress in all areas and is becoming a gifted artist.. Lewis is an exceptional young man who has already overcome significant personal challenges for one so young. He makes light of them and meets adversity head on.. Lewis creates a calm, cheerful atmosphere wherever he goes, and always has a smile on his face.. He would make an excellent ambassador as an Olympic Torch Bearer to continue the ideals of its creator Baron Pierre de Coubertin. He is conscientious, patient, caring and `acts as a rock of support` for others, always putting them first.. Lewis encapsulates Perryfields` caring ethos and the Olympic ideals of fairness, teamwork and excellence..
