Lewis Birkinshaw

Lewis is Bradford Academy's current Citizen of the Year. Lewis is a learner who has successfully managed to pull off the hardest trick in the book. He is highly successful in both academic and sporting worlds; he is both a geek and jock. Lewis is consistently a positive role model. Lewis is our Gold YA, won the BBC Olympic dreams challenge, (travel to London to link up with leaders overseas). He leads our Get Set initiative & successful application. Last year alone Lewis participated in: superstars, rugby refereeing/coaching/playing, House competitions, Sports Day, Sports Leaders etc. I could not begin to estimate the extra time Lewis has put into School Sport within school and beyond. He does all whilst achieving the success of playing for Bradford Bulls. Lewis never says no to and acts with a deep seated sense of civic responsibility which would be exceptional in someone twice his age.
