Nominating Lesley for the amount of time she gives up to help others. She spends a lot of her year volunteering for an event called Rock Challenge which is a performing arts competition aimed at showing young people they can get a natural high through live performance without the need for abusing their bodies with drugs, tobacco or alcohol. Lesley-Ann travels the length and bredth of the UK (Inverness to Belfast to Portsmouth and many stops inbetween) using her own money for travel and her annual leave from work to come and volunteer. Without our volunteers the event wouldn't be possible and Lesley is easily one of the most dedicated and passionate. Despite not being paid she is always hardworking and positive and takes on the most boring of jobs with a smile and a desire to help out wherever she can. Not only does Lesley give up her own time and money, she also fundraises for the Be Your Best Foundation, the charity that funds Rock Challenge. She has arranged several bag packs and in October she is entered into the Great South Run and is raising money for the cause despite never really doing much running before. When she is not on the road, Lesley gives up her time to help local dance groups in her home city of Aberdeen including the Aberdeen Vixen Cheerleaders and her own hip-hop dance school which keeps young people off the streets and doing something positive. This would be a real honour to Lesley-Ann, she would be flattered and I can't think of anybody more deserving.
