Leila's nomination story

As a cancer survivor despite my health issues I have done many charity activities inspire current cancer patients and disabled children.I'm a fun loving and caring person. Cancer has been part of my life since I was 13 but I have fought it twice. In 2001 I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and relapsed in 2005 leading to a Bone Marrow Transplant in May 2005. I have been involved in many charity and voluntary work over the past 10years. Having cancer made me want to contribute to the society and give something back. Even though I have been left with a physical disability and being constantly in pain it does not stop me. I'm passionate about the sport I do (climbing cycling) and have had to adapt to my disability. I hope that people with look at my experience and see no matter what there is hope.
