Lee was the heart of the organisation of the International Island Games in which 3,500 athletes from 25 island communities world-wide competed across 14 sports on the Isle of Wight in June 2011. Without his tireless efforts and commitment over four years the joy of international competition and the friendships that come from it would not have been experienced by so many people. From operational planning to litter picking and everything in between he has done anything required to ensure an outstanding Games for all. Using the Games as his inspiration he has supported club and facility development creating more sporting opportunities, especially young people and was responsible for the creation of a programme to encourage the progression of talented and gifted youngsters. For the past five years he has, in his own time, raised funding for, organised and supported a team to participate in the international youth games worldwide.
