Leanne Scott

I would like to nominate Leanne to carry the Olympic torch. She is getting married on 27th of July 2012 and this honour would make her day extra special. Leanne has made a contribution to girl's brigade for 21 years of her life. She gained the Queens award in 2005, and went on then to become and officer in 2010. She puts in so much effort and loves the reward she gets from watching the girls gain awards each yearr. They admire her and live up to her hoping to one day become an officer like her. Leanne has taught them a number of skills in the last few years, most recently sign language she made them aware of the difficulties deaf people face, and how they get through daily life. Leanne also got them invovled in some charity work each year they help package up the boxes for operation christmas child. Each year they also do a fund raising night and pick a chrity to donate to. Leanne has had a tough year, losing both her grandparents within 4 months of each other. Leanne cared for her grandparents at the weekend, doing their shopping and cooking for them. He grandfather was blind and her grandmother crippled with arthritis. Theirs deaths were particularly tough on Leanne as it left a void in her life. She is marrying Stephen in 27th July 2012 her soulmate and best friend. Carrying the olympic torch would be a great honour for her and would add to her special day. She has decided to add the olympic theme into her day.
