Laurence is 15 years old and this year he became the youngest qualified level 1 fencing coach in Northern Ireland. As well as training himself he helps teach younger children the sport teaching the mini fence version to primary school children enhancing the profile of his sport and leaving a legacy in the schools he volunteers in. This summer he has volunteered for more than 172 hours helping at the British Transplant Games in Belfast and the Boccia World Cup in Jordanstown. In all he gave up nearly 3 weeks of his Summer holiday to help with the atheletes that hope to take part in the Paralymics at London 2012. He is an amazing young man that is polite, well mannered, as well as successful, a credit to his sport and a great ambassador for the youth of today. All this and he is a young carer with his 2 siblings for his mum who has MS. He deserves a reward for all his work.
