Having suffered with severe back and spinal problems resulting in being unemployable for 3 1/2 years i didnt allow my spirits to drop and continued to arrange fund raising events for Richards House Childrens hospice, Heathlands Centre, Crohns Society raisng over £50,000 between them. The pain i was suffering was nothing compared to the suffering of some of the people and families i met and i feel that having battled my way back to fitness this would be further encouragement for me and many others who know my situation never to give up. By the time the olympics come i will be living in Norfolk so have applied for this area.
