Teaching underpriveleged children how to sail voluntarily in her own time on the lively lady! through fundraising and laughter! To raise the funds to refit the historic yachy Lively Lady and to sail it around the world for a 3rd time. Helping young people with limited opportunities to learn not only the skill of sailing but also about team work trust building self confidence and also different cultures and the way other people live. It is also clear to us that the people of Portsmouth have a passion to see the boat back out on the water and helping these young people as that is what Sir Alec Rose wanted on his return from his global circumnavigation. I feel i have already inspired a number of young people on the south coast by helping them to raise money and sail around the UK last year and believe their hundreds more who want to sail around the world.
