Laura's nomination story

One freezing cold day last December, staff at Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) were struggling to get into work, with heavy snow and ice bringing roads to a stand still. In the Edinburgh Fundraising Office for CHAS we assumed that volunteer Laura Munro would not make it in as she lives in the Borders. Instead, she arrived with her snow-busting tyre chains applied ready for her day of volunteering. This is just one example of how dedicated Laura is to CHAS. She volunteers her time two days per week as well as organising and taking part in fundraising collections and stalls. From standing with face paint on and shaking a bucket, to assisting supporters in the office, Laura is such an important part of the CHAS fundraising team. She is always enthusiastic and lights up the room whenever she walks in the office. Her commitment to CHAS is astounding.
